Pantone Colour of the Year 2019 and gemstone options

Writer's picture: Joanne LJoanne L

Every year, the Pantone Color Institute announces a new Colour of the Year. In 2018, it was Ultra Violet, a provocative shade of purple. This 2019, the focus has shifted to a more subtle, organic yet refreshing colour called Living Coral, an “animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge”*. This peachy pink, salmon colour evokes warm optimism.

In jewellery, these can be represented by many beautiful and vibrant gemstones like morganite, padparadscha sapphires, pink sapphires, natural coral, peachy pink tourmalines and topazs.
